Almost ready!

It's almost that time! Time for the studio to re-open. Since I couldn't go to Teacher Training I've been working my way through the new ballet syllibus (syllibi?) on DVD. My shoulder lets me do most things, just reminds me now and then.

Getting some great ideas for songs/dances...so much music to choose from, Broadway is "huge".

Benefits of Dance Pt 1

Among the individual benefits of studying dance are Confidence and Self-Esteem, Listening Skills, Self-Discipline, Sense of Accomplishment, Persistance, Accuracy, and being open to new ideas.

You can easily see how these skills can translate over to "real life" situations like school and work.

Dancing Dancers and a non dancing teacher

I'm the non-dancing teacher because I'm on crutches again due to vertical tear in my left knee. Not sure entirely what that means but seeing a new ortho tomorrow so will find out soon.

My dancers are so wonderful! We performed our winter dances at Drury Place on Jan 3. The bitties, prek, beginner, and primary 1 dancers were joined by a few Starfeet Dancers.

Starfeet Dancers performed at Holiday Resort on Jan. 25 in costume. Senior Stars were missing two dancers from Fashionista and that kind of threw them off but everyone did their dances well. It was good to have a dress rehearsal. Anna Stanley took photo's of each group so I'll post when I have a computer back. CompuDoc is repairing mine at the moment.
